Study question

  • Population: ICU patients with ARDS

  • Comparison: Inflammatory vs non-inflammatory ARDS phenotype

  • Outcome: 60-day mortality

Recruitment

Inclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria

  • Patient receiving mechanical ventilation, CPAP or HFNO

  • <18 years of age

  • >48 hours after onset of ARDS

  • Receiving ECMO at the time of recruitment

  • Treatment withdrawal imminent (24h)

  • DNAR in place

  • Declined consent

  • Prisoners
